This model of the USS Rankin was made by Edward J. Roy, former SF3 from 1966-1970 aboard USS Jason (AR-8). Ed is the brother of Al Roy, RM2 aboard the Rankin from 1962-1966. The model, made of redwood, is 30" long. You can see its size by comparing it to the TV remote in the foreground, and to Ed's arm and hands in the background. 5/14/20
